- What is low-voltage work?
- Low-voltage work covers the cabling and devices that carry data, audio and video or run on low-power circuits: network cabling, fiber, Wi-Fi equipment, POS systems, screens, speakers, cameras and RFID readers. It's separate from standard electrical wiring.
- How much experience does your team have?
- Our team has more than 30 years of experience in low-voltage and field service work, from cabling and networks to the newer systems stores use today.
- What kinds of sites do you work in?
- Mostly open retail stores and restaurants, including big-box, specialty apparel, dollar and discount, auto parts and quick-service locations. We work around customers and staff, before opening hours, or overnight when a project calls for it.
- Who does the work on site?
- Our own technicians, employed by Texas Data Techs as W2 and part-time staff. Most jobs are handled by a crew of two to four techs, depending on the scope.
- Are your technicians certified?
- Yes. Our technicians are certified and receive ongoing training on the latest equipment and installation methods, so they're current on the technology stores are installing today.
- Do you travel for rollouts and out-of-state work?
- Yes. Multi-site rollouts and out-of-state projects are a regular part of our work. Our crews travel with their tools and materials, and we plan lodging around the project schedule.
- Are you insured?
- Yes. We carry a $2M umbrella policy, workers' compensation and professional liability. Certificates of insurance are available on request.
- How is completed work documented?
- Every job includes before and after photos, testing of each device and connection, and signoff from the site manager, submitted the same day the work is finished.
